.In the Studio

Wind On the  Water is a new Americana band featuring Tamara Colonna and Bill Gibson. They just finished a 6-song demo of original material. Look for them at many Jacksonville area venues.

Singer-songwriter Jerry Maniscalco finished his CD of original acoustic tunes. Check out jmrocks.com for everything you need to know about this great musician.

Working on tracks for Lauren Fincham's next CD, finishing up mixes and a few overdubs on Tamara Colonna's next CD, as well as finishing up tracks on mine. Robin Soergel added accordion to my song "Broken" and Mike Pearson played a mean guitar on my song "Mean Girl Blues."

I've done a few "remote recordings" of late. Take the laptop, a small mixer, a minimum of gear and record a band away from the studio. I set up demos for one band in the living room where they practice at and recorded a few tracks for Tamara Colonna's CD live with her band.

Lotsa fun and I've gotten good tracks every time.

Vann Hardin has been finishing a few new tunes for his upcoming CD.

Tamara Grigsby recorded her song "Zora's Wings" --a tribute to Zora Neale Hurston, an African American novelist, folklorist, and anthropologist who grew up in Eatonville, FL  and was dubbed by Alice Walker as "The Genius of the South." Tamara is entering this song in the Will McLean Foundation Best New Florida Song Contest. We wish her the best of luck!

Drums Blonde 2, which is Lynn Curtin and Marilyn Wilson recorded their first CD as well as finished a song for a children's book.

Recorded Lauren Fincham and Mike Pearson live as they played a recent show at Three Layers Coffee Shop in Springfield. One or more of these tracks may appear on Lauren's next CD.

David Young and Thommy Berlin recorded a few fun punk-fueled acoustic tunes. A very fun and rewarding session! Look for the Dave and Thom show at a flea market near you!

Lauren Fincham has completed another sock puppet video. Lauren is also working on a new CD of original material.

Local guitarist Jim Brown performed very tasteful electric guitar leads on Vann Hardin's "A Happy Song." Vann's CD will be out soon.

Terry Whitehead's song "So I Am", has been accepted for the Indie Music Cancer Drive CD Songs for the Cure '10. Check out  http://www.cancerdrive.org/ for more info.

XGeezer

XGeezer is Thom Berlin--guitar and vocals, Sean Jones--drums, and Roy DeStroy--bass and vocals. Old school punk rock that doesn't look back. First full-length release out someday.
